Spies at Rest: An Intelligence-Focused Tour through Arlington National Cemetery
with Emily Rheault and Dr. Mark Stout
Join us for a special off-site event!
For over 150 years Arlington National Cemetery has been the final resting place for American servicemembers. While many served on the battlefield, others worked in the shadows. Join the International Spy Museum and Arlington National Cemetery to explore notable military intelligence sites across the cemetery’s 600+ acres. Wild Bill Donovan and the Friedmans are among the luminaries reposing here. Throughout the tour Arlington National Cemetery Director of Education Emily Rheault along with former Spy Museum Historian and Curator Dr. Mark Stout will highlight some of the most significant intelligence stories in American history. The tour will be approximately 2 hours long and will occur rain or shine. Most of the journey through the cemetery will be on a tram, but walking will be required to reach various sites
The tour will begin at 11:00am at the Arlington National Cemetery Welcome Center. When you arrive to the Welcome Center, you’ll have to go through a security screening line, and you may need to present a government ID. Lines can be long to enter the cemetery, so we recommend arriving early.
Arlington National Cemetery is accessible via the Arlington National Cemetery metro station on the Blue Line. Paid parking is also available at the cemetery. Learn more at www.arlingtoncemetery.mil/visit
The program is free but advanced registration is required. Space is limited to 70 people.
