Dr. Sameer Patil is a senior fellow at ORF Mumbai, an independent global think tank. Previously, Sameer served as the Assistant Director of the National Security Council Secretariat at the Prime Minister’s Office in New Delhi, and a Fellow of the International Security Studies Program at Gateway House. Sameer’s research has positioned him as an expert on Indian cybersecurity, counterterrorism, and both national and regional security. He recently earned his PhD in International Relations from Jawaharlal Nehru University in New Delhi, India.
