James Lockhart, PhD, FRHistS, is associate professor of defense and security studies at Rabdan Academy/Zayed Military University in the United Arab Emirates. He specializes in American foreign relations and intelligence, especially in the Global South. In 2019, his first book, Chile, the CIA and the Cold War: A Transatlantic Perspective, was published by Edinburgh University Press. His research has also been published by the Marine Corps University Journal; the International History Review; International Affairs; Intelligence and National Security; and the Journal of Intelligence History. Lockhart is currently writing his next book, on the career of Lt. Gen. Vernon Walters. Before becoming a professional historian, he spent five years as a gaming surveillance operator in several properties in Las Vegas.

Keith Michaels currently serves as Contract Labor Strategist at MGM Resorts International, team-managing Labor Contracts and relationships for the enterprise. He has over thirty years' experience in the Las Vegas gaming/hospitality realm from casino audit and compliance to director of gaming surveillance and instructor of casino games for the Nevada Gaming Control Board, Enforcement Division.
